The former Congregational Church had been a significant part of Wilder's history since it was built in 1890 by Charles T. Wilder, the owner of the mill in the village that now bears his name.
When Lyme purchased the property in 2009 it had been declining for many years, and was in need of significant structural repair.
The building has been restored and transformed into a dynamic event facility for the Upper Valley.
The flexible main room serves as a multipurpose space for weddings, memorial services, corporate events, and an array of music & entertainment events.
The unique architectural flourish of the floating roof was preserved, establishing the front entrance to the Wilder Center.
